Helderberg Nature Reserve Spring 2011

 I am a regular visitor to the Helderberg Nature Reserve and in April I photographed the devastating fire. Here are some of my photographs to show how NATURE can come back and reward us with the most beautiful display even though we thought there was no hope! 

A few days ago I spent a beautiful and very precious morning with my special friend who has MSA (Muscular System Atrophy - 5 in 100000 in the world have this rare disease). She was diagnosed a year ago and is now unable to walk and spends her days in her wheelchair. I would like to thank the two people from the Helderberg Nature Reserve for making her day by taking my friend and I in their Landrover to see her beloved Watsonia's in bloom where the fire wrecked havoc in April this year!
